TGCFSC's Theatre on Ice Team - HITS- Houston Ice Theatre
Skaters
HITS won the Pewter Medal for their Novice Freeskate in
the 1st US National Theatre on Ice Competition in
Burlington, Vermont on June 27, 2008.
HITS then competed and won the Gold Medal for their
Choreographic Exercise in the Novice Division at the
13th Internationals Theatre on Ice Competition the next
day as well as winning the Bronze medal for their
Freeskate program. HITS did their version of "The
Spelling Bee" for their freeskate and the required
themes for the Choreographic Exercise were: Slow,
Growth, and Repetition. Great job skaters!!!

Congratulations
Congratulations to TGCFSC members, Sophia LaMay whom was
placed on Team C U.S. Figure Skating
and Nina Jiang whom was placed on the
Developmental Team for US Figure Skating. Cheer
them on as they represent the United States in Canada in
August.
Samantha Fenwick - Senior Moves
Congratulations as well to Samantha Fenwick on passing her Senior Moves test. Way to go Sam! We are all very proud!

Include your name, phone number and e-mail address on a separate piece of paper with your drawing or submission. The winner will be announced on the TGCFSC bulletin board and website on August 15, 2008.
The winning drawing will be the cover of the 2008-2009 TGCFSC Club Directory.

2009 Mid-Western Sectionals
Texas Gulf Coast FSC has been selected to co-host this event with Houston FSC at our home rink November 11-15, 2008. Check the USFS announcement here. Opportunities to volunteer will be available on the MIDS website soon. This is an outstanding event to see the top skaters on their way to Nationals. Any questions? The next MIDS meeting is tentatively scheduled for July 19 at 9:30am until 12:00pm - SLICE. Please plan to stay as long as you can. This will be our "starting gun" meeting where we really secure down our committee chairpersons and cement as many ideas as we can.
