TESTING

**NOTE**
Due to the increasing costs to run test sessions, we will once again be charging an additional fee for out of club members. The new fee ($20) will be effective June 1, 2009. We regret any inconvenience this will cause to our friends at other clubs. Our cost for ice increased in early 2009 and we have deferred adding additional charges as long as we can.

Regular testing in order to advance up through the skating levels is important for both competitive and recreational skaters. TGCFSC is proud to offer regular USFS test sessions for all levels and disciplines. To learn more about the USFS testing structure please visit the USFS site by clicking here. Testing sessions are open to all skaters. Skaters from outside Houston-area clubs will be asked to pay a nominal additional fee. Forms must be submitted by the due dates listed on the hardcopy form and in the table below. The fees for each type of test are indicated on the testing application form. You can download a pdf version of form here (testing form). Hard copies are normally available on the TGCFSC bulletin board in the lobby of Sugar Land Ice & Sports Center.

TGCFSC test session normally take place at 6am on a Sunday morning. From time to time there are exceptions to this. In these cases we will post the session time as early as possible. We also try very hard not to change test dates once they are posted. Occasionally conflicts arise with competitions or rink activities and it is necessary to reschedule. We will try to inform both skaters and judges as soon as we are made aware of a change.
